Position Overview

To grow and manage the sale of Solmax’s geosynthetic products in a multi-state region
through direct interaction and management of a comprehensive distribution network, and
interaction with owners, developers, and contractors on earthwork projects where
geosynthetics may be utilized.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive distribution network such that all SOLMAX market segments are represented in all key geographic areas with the region.

  • Provide training on SOLMAX products to customer base as necessary.

  • Develop and implement, in conjunction with Inside Sales Rep, Engineering Business Manager, LCS Area Manager, Engineered Structures Manager, and other sales personnel to develop short term and long-term strategies for the region. Evaluate and follow up to ensure objectives are being attained.

  • Lead project management sales process beginning with the “30 days to bid” timeline in CRM. Involve EBM’s and sales personnel to maximize success.

  • Responsible for supporting and coordinating with Product Management activities relating to forecasting, production planning, inventory control, and outside product sourcing.

  • Establishes and coordinates pricing throughout region, meet sales targets as provided by the Commercial Director, ensure that regional details of sales such as deductions, claims, receivables, contracts, and rebates are managed in a proper and timely manner.

  • Be prepared to submit a monthly sales forecast.

  • Fully utilize CRM to manage Region, including opportunities, customers, and projects.

Qualifications and skills

  • College Degree (BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred)

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with at least 5 years of experience.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
