Strategic facility consolidation and leadership momentum drive operational excellence

Solmax is announcing today a strategic consolidation of its Americas manufacturing footprint, reducing from seven to six facilities. This move stems from the company’s commitment to deliver the high-quality products and responsive service our customers expect and reflects the company’s commitment to operational efficiency, scalability, and long-term growth.

Production from our Kingstree, South Carolina facility will be transitioned to our larger, more advanced sites in Spearfish, South Dakota and Ringgold, Georgia. Both these facilities, which will enable us to offer enhanced capacity, more flexibility, and better support our customers and partners, will be fully operational ahead of the 2026 construction season.

This transition aligns with the vision of President and CEO Bob Gilligan, who brings a strong focus on customer-centricity and sustainable growth.

“This consolidation is a strategic step forward in building a more agile, scalable, and customer-focused organization,” said Gilligan, President and CEO. “By investing in larger, more versatile facilities, we’re positioning ourselves to serve our customers better, respond faster to market needs, and drive long-term value for all stakeholders.”

As a result of this consolidation, Solmax’ Kingstree facility will cease its operations by the end of 2025. “While this decision supports our commitment to long-term growth and competitiveness, we recognize the impact on employees and the local community. We are deeply grateful for the dedication and contributions of our Kingstree team.” Clients wishing to obtain more information regarding this change can contact their customer service lead.
