Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Global Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst plays a strategic role in managing and optimizing the global ERP system (Dynamics 365) within an international, multi-site environment. This position is essential to improving the Group's financial and operational performance by integrating management accounting practices into ERP processes.
The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing financial flows, validating changes in the ERP system, and implementing solutions to optimize the profitability and efficiency of operations. He/she will work closely with the IT and Finance teams to ensure data reliability, process consistency, and alignment with strategic objectives. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability of financial data and the performance of ERP systems, contributing directly to strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Continuous improvement and optimization
Collaborate with IT teams to develop and integrate new features into the ERP.
Oversee the financial aspects of ERP system improvement projects, including testing and validation phases prior to deployment.
Manage the process changes necessary to maximize the use of the ERP's financial modules.
Identify opportunities for automation, improvement, and simplification of financial and operational processes.
Assess the impact of ERP changes on costs, margins, and performance indicators.
Analyze and optimize accounting and operational processes in D365 to support performance and decision-making.
Contribute to the harmonization of practices within the Group and ensure strategic monitoring of other ERPs used by business groups.
Documentation and procedures
Document processes to ensure consistency in management accounting practices in a multi-site, multi-currency environment.
Help write and update financial policies and procedures.
Help train users and share knowledge with them.
Analysis, control, and compliance
Perform transactional analyses and tests to ensure data reliability.
Conduct periodic reviews of source financial data to ensure accuracy and propose adjustments in collaboration with the IT department.
Evaluate and approve changes that impact financial information, including financial statements and related reports.
ERP support and expertise
Provide technical support for accounting and financial processes in D365.
Answer complex user questions and assist them in resolving issues related to the ERP system.
Share expertise in management accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing context, particularly regarding the financial impact of processes and the accounting of production costs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
CPA designation (an asset)
Expertise in management accounting and financial performance analysis.
Significant experience with ERP systems, ideally Dynamics 365 (D365).
Knowledge of international and multi-site environments (an asset).
Bilingualism (French/English).
Strong focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to simplify financial data.
Collaborative leadership and hands-on approach.
Ability to solve complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
