Overview
The Global Compensation Analyst supports the design, implementation, and governance of compensation programs and HR data processes across a multi-country organization.
This role is critical to sustaining key strategic initiatives and ensuring operational excellence across compensation, payroll validation, and HR systems. The analyst will play a hands-on role in delivering high-impact projects while strengthening data integrity, compliance, and internal consistency across global compensation practices.
You will work closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and external vendors, to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effective delivery of compensation programs and related processes across the organization.
Your main responsibilities
Lead job evaluation and benchmarking activities to ensure roles are competitive in external markets and internally equitable.
Build, maintain, and govern the job architecture (levels, bands, job families) to ensure consistency both vertically (career progression) and horizontally (across functions).
Conduct salary surveys, market data analysis, and trend monitoring to inform compensation decisions.
Analyze compensation programs’ effectiveness, prepare dashboards and reports (e.g. comp spend, internal equity gaps, comp vs. market).
Support administration or oversight of Canadian benefits and pension plans (vendor coordination, data verification, employee inquiries).
Support compensation configuration and testing in Dayforce, assist with system updates related to compensation cycles and organizational changes, and contribute to improving processes and data flows.
Support multiple Total Rewards projects across compensation, benefits, and HRIS, document processes, contribute to scalable tools, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, and governance.
Drive pay equity programs and initiatives, particularly for Québec under the Loi sur l’équité salariale / pay equity regime administered by CNESST (i.e. perform pay equity exercises, audits, maintain compliance, file employer declarations).
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
3–5+ years of direct experience in compensation analysis and with compensation benchmarking tools.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup functions, modeling) and ability to interpret, model scenarios, work with large datasets.
Fluency in spoken and written French and English (intermediate level required)
Strong ability to synthesize information and analytical skills
Good time management and prioritization skills
Sense of initiative, independence, and teamwork
Strong interest in gaining a deep understanding of how compensation programs work
