Overview
The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment. This is a senior-level electrical and mechanical maintenance role requiring verifiable industrial electrical experience.
Essential Job Functions
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
Apply verifiable electrical experience in daily tasks and repairs.
Proactively stop work to investigate unusual sights, sounds, or smells indicating potential equipment issues.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on GCL manufacturing equipment, cranes, mobile equipment, site utilities, and facility components.
Perform planned preventive maintenance and complete assigned checklists accurately.
Enter discovered issues and corrective actions into the work order system promptly.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings; use precision tools to verify part specifications.
Use electrical schematics to trace circuits, troubleshoot issues, and perform safe electrical repairs.
Successfully complete an online OSHA Basic Safety Training course.
Assist in training Maintenance Technician I and II personnel as needed.
Other Job Functions
Perform additional duties as directed by the Maintenance Lead.
Work planned and unplanned hours to support a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Assist other departments when operational needs arise.
Top-Tier Qualifications (Preferred)
Minimum of 6 years of maintenance experience with Solmax or 10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Certification in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, ABB).
Active member of the Emergency Response Team.
Successful completion of TDG hazardous materials handling training or an equivalent certification.
Member of the facility Safety Team.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2–3 years of production/factory maintenance experience.
Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, and operating procedures.
Ability to move throughout the plant and property to complete assignments.
Ability to operate cranes, roll-handling equipment, and related machinery.
Ability to exert physical effort to move materials and products.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to climb ladders, scaffold, and access elevated work areas.
Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to heat, cold, and varying weather conditions.
