High-performance material solutions by Solmax
Solmax products form the core of every ENERVIA system. They were developed to withstand the demanding conditions inside a PTES — high temperatures, hydrostatic pressure and long-term exposure to water, soil and weather conditions.
GSE HDH
A high-temperature resistant geomembrane that provides watertight sealing of the storage and maintains its integrity up to 90 °C.
FABRINET BP-H Base Protect
A robust protective and drainage layer that safeguards the subgrade and ensures the long-term stability of the geomembrane at high operating temperatures.
FABRINET BP-H
A complementary product used as a protective, drainage, venting and ventilation layer to ensure the functionality and stability of the floating storage lid.
Both as a high-temperature-resistant variant on the floating high-temperature-resistant geomembrane, which is directly exposed to the high temperatures in the upper storage area, and as a standard variant in the upper layers of the floating lid, which are exposed to lower temperatures due to the thermal insulation beneath them.
Prefabrication
Using geosynthetics, Solmax can prefabricate many components of the system including inlets and outlets, access shafts, inspection shafts, de-gassing and ventilation openings according to required specifications.

Solmax provides advice on thermal insulation materials and improve the overall efficiency of storage.
