Overview

As an Accountant (m/f/d), you play a central role within our finance team and help ensure accurate, transparent, and timely accounting. You are responsible for the proper handling of business transactions, support monthly and annual financial statements, and ensure precise account reconciliation as well as efficient processing of payments. With your structured working style, strong affinity for numbers, and solid English skills, you ensure smooth execution of all accounting processes and act as a reliable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The Accountant (m/f/d) reports to the Financial Controller in Germany.

Key responsibilities

  • Recording incoming invoices, including verification, account assignment, posting, and archiving

  • Reconciling and maintaining accounts payable as well as monitoring open items

  • Preparing and executing weekly payment runs

  • Processing payment reminders

  • Handling, monitoring, and posting travel expense reports, including receipt verification in line with company policies

  • Managing the cash register, including review, reconciliation, and posting of cash receipts

  • Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including preparation, review, and posting of accruals and deferrals

  • Contributing to the optimization and further development of accounting processes

Qualifications and skills

  • Successfully completed commercial training, ideally with a focus on financial accounting

  • Professional experience in accounts payable, complemented by knowledge in travel expense reporting, cash management, accruals, and deferrals

  • Confident user of ERP systems and MS Office, especially Excel

  • Strong affinity for numbers and a high sense of responsibility

  • Good English skills

  • Independent, results-oriented, and structured working style with a hands-on mentality
