Overview
The Weaver Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring looms to produce fabric that meets established quality and production standards. This position ensures machines are functioning properly, identifies defects, performs basic repairs, and supports overall weaving operations while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities
Patrol and inspect looms regularly for defects; stop machines when repairs are needed.
Monitor fill packages to ensure proper tieback.
Repair and restart mechanical, filling, and warp stops.
Monitor doff length and stop machines at required intervals.
Assist Weave Service associates with doffing looms.
Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.
Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous weaving experience preferred.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work on the plant floor.
Basic mechanical troubleshooting and machine operation skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to monitor multiple machines efficiently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
