Enhancing environmental safety with LAGA-certified BENTOLINER geosynthetic clay liners
Geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs), like BENTOLINER®, play a crucial role in environmental protection by forming a barrier that prevents contamination of surrounding soil and groundwater. This barrier is essential for safeguarding the environment from the adverse impacts of industrial and waste disposal activities.
BENTOLINER is a superior-grade, needled GCL, featuring top-tier sodium bentonite sandwiched between two layers of geotextile. Fibers from the upper nonwoven are needle punched through the bentonite layer into the lower woven carrier fabric. This results in a strong mechanical bond between the geotextiles, reinforces the bentonite and keeps it in place even on steep slopes.
LAGA-certified GCLs
Solmax has been offering BENTOLINER GCLs for waterproofing solutions for decades. These products are recognized as suitable for use in Class I landfills and in Class II landfills according to the LAGA suitability assessment – this is especially effective in combination with our GSE® geomembranes.
“Our product portfolio of GSE liners and BENTOLINER clay liners as well as FABRINET® drainage products make us attractive to customers as a full-range supplier, BENTOLINER LAGA is a testament to the quality we offer our customers,” says Michael Uebigau, Head of Hydraulic & Environmental Engineering at Solmax.
Suitable for a wide range of applications
BENTOLINER GCLs offer versatility across a range of applications, including landfill construction, municipal solid waste, liquid and industrial waste, and hazardous waste. They are the preferred choice for demanding applications in canals, ponds, and dams.
These liners are also well-suited for materials storage, stockpile storage, heap leach areas, groundwater protection, and structural waterp
roofing applications.
The versatility of BENTOLINER extends beyond landfills, encompassing diverse fields such as mining or transportation. Reach out to our sales team for more information on how BENTOLINER can work for your project.
