Overview
The Project Manager is the specialist for the technical processing, consulting and application of geosynthetics in the construction sector. The areas of application range from landfill construction to environmental and geotechnical engineering to the construction of civil infrastructure. The Project Manager plays a key role in project management, to which his technical expertise and customer consulting contribute significantly. The construction manager plays a significant role in the realization of construction projects involving geosynthetics through his detailed product knowledge and technical design and consulting services. The construction manager reports to the Head of Installation Department or directly to the Commercial Director DACH (Germany/Austria/Switzerland), whereby the Project Manager is part of the DACH region team.
Responsibilities
Coordination and control of work processes for the Installation Crew on the construction site as well as technical consulting for builders, planners and construction companies.
Commercial and technical project management including work preparation, scheduling of personnel, materials and equipment.
Contact and consultation with clients at Project Manager level.
Technical management of the Installation Crew, including assistants.
Addendum management, including quantity determination, calculation and addendum negotiations.
Supporting sales by preparing calculations and processing quotations.
Collaboration with colleagues and partners in an international company to develop new solutions and products.
Goal-oriented project management and constantly searching for customer-oriented solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor´s or master´s degree in civil engineering (civil engineering, geotechnical engineering)
Practical experience in construction and experience in the construction industry.
Knowledge and experience in dealing with the VOB (German Construction Contract Procedures)
Ability to establish and maintain long-term and sustainable customer relationships.
Motivation, goal orientation and independence are among the fundamental characteristics.
Ability to work in a team as well as management of the Installation Crew, including assistants.
Computer skills (Office), Car driving licence and willingness to travel for nationwide construction site visits.
German and English language skills
