Storekeeper

Position overview

Carry out and maintain proper stock movement at finished goods warehouse and perform loading and unloading of goods and arrangement of goods in warehouse as instructed by supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify the quantity of incoming goods against delivery documents and purchase order and make proper records. Send the goods to Production store

• Perform loading and unloading and maintain a strict control of finished goods leaving the warehouse and outgoing stocks

• Perform cycle count and monthly stock count of inventories to ensure stock accuracy. Highlight any stock discrepancies to immediate superior

• Arrange delivery of goods from on department to another to meet internal customer’s prompt delivery requests. Communicate any delays to appropriate parties

• Upkeep warehouse safety requirement and bring to the attention of immediate superior of any unsafe condition

• Perform good housekeeping to optimise space utilisation and liaise with Production for availability of bays for finished goods storage

• Ensure that finished goods packing is in good condition before dispatch or replace the wrapper and labels if the packing is damaged or in bad condition

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum SPM

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as storekeeper in factory environment

• Prior experience as storekeeper

• Hands on experience in counting stocks/performing stock takes
