Position overview

The Sales Manager (SM) is responsible for sales and development of the Environment market in France. It is evaluated on the achievement of annual targets for revenue, margin, volume, and profitability. The Sales Manager (SM) will drive long-term business stability by discerning key market stakeholders and establishing a network to secure Solmax’s sustained leadership in the region.

In addition, the (RC) is responsible for the management of customer accounts (including sealant installation companies), as well as the management of its own sales operations. Under the direction of a Sales Director or Regional Sales Director, the (RC) executes our strategies on a day-to-day basis in order to have an immediate impact on the company's results in alignment with the company's objectives in the assigned area. The (RC) is part of the South-West Europe sales team.

Key responsibilities

  • Commercial responsibility: development of turnover, margin and market share using all Solmax resources and solutions. Ambassador of SOLMAX's image and values.

  • Direct commercial negotiations within the framework of SOLMAX's commercial policy and general terms and conditions of sale.

  • Cooperation with EBMs: Turning EBM technical prescription/promotion into turnover.

  • Monitor customer and competitor behavior and report on it in periodic reports.

  • Use of CRM: creation and maintenance of customer and project data, preparation of quotes and visit reports.

Qualifications and skills

  • You bring at least 5 years' successful commercial experience acquired in the fields of B.TP, training or technical varnish will be a plus. Ideally, you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

  • Experience and knowledge of different forms of contracts.

  • An existing network and contacts in the world of civil engineering in your area is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical clients.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • You are self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work independently.

  • You are willing to travel around the region to meet with contacts and attend events such as trade shows/conventions to explore new business opportunities.

  • In addition to French, you have a professional level of English (spoken, written).
