Position overview
As a Demand Planner at Solmax Americas, you will be instrumental in driving the sales forecasting process for our business. This pivotal role involves working closely with Sales, Finance, and Product Management to generate a base forecast derived from historical sales, open orders, and large projects. Your responsibilities will include running Demand Planning processes across all divisions, implementing a standardized Demand Planning process, and ensuring high participation in the overall S&OP Process. Location: Northeast GA/Atlanta GA/Chattanooga TN/Houston TX
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and oversee monthly forecast reviews with Sales and Directors, aligning forecasts with business objectives.
Analyze sales data to prepare and adjust consensus forecasts at various levels.
Integrate insights from sales, marketing, operations, and finance to develop short and long-term demand forecasts.
Collaborate with sales teams to refine and optimize forecast adjustments.
Develop comprehensive Excel reports and KPIs to support forecasting tools and daily operations.
Utilize and manage demand planning tools (DSx) for statistical forecasting and sales team adjustments.
Qualifications and skills
At least 5 years of experience in Demand Planning within an S&OP environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft business tools.
Familiarity with advanced planning tools (Demand Solutions DSx, OMPartners, APO) and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
Experience with ERP MRP systems (SAP, MS Dynamics, Infinium/AS400).
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
